  1. I'm American and love the MLS, but I completely agree with you on this one! One of the best soccer commentators is Ian Darke in my opinion. The guy is amazing at calling games.

  2. great ninjakick by the centerback to stop a totally unmarked Keane. And is the goalkeeper high on red bull? he looks completely immobilized…

  3. It all means the same fucking thing. So what if yanks have a different way of saying shit. I wish people would get off their fucking high horses and realise that people do shit differently. Americans are commentating to other Americans, why the fook should we care what they say. They can call the scoring a goal "Scoring a cuntflap" for all I care. It doesn't change the rules of the beautiful game.

He has been poor in the league for sometime though, although I'm not here to bash Robbie for that, he's been great for us (Tottenham) over the years, but he ain't half the player he was, he had a huge dip in form right from the moment he moved to Liverpool, even when he was at West Ham last season (getting plenty of games), he really was quite poor.

This could be a good thing for him though, once he gets confidence back he'll be a top player in the MLS.

    Good luck Robbie

  5. American commentary wants to sound great… It doesn't come natural like the British Commentators who has been there and loved the football game. In other words, Americans are phonies. (I hope i spelled it correctly)

  6. there is no way to win. if robbie keane does well in mls ppl will say its cuz mls is an inferior league but if struggles ppl will say he is past his prime, yet he was good enough to play in the epl last yr

  7. @ProEvoFifa59 Yeah, its true. Usually our exciting commentators here are local radio guys (forcing a lot of fans to mute the TV and turn on the radio). Only exciting TV commentator we have here is Gus Johnson, who does some NFL games and college basketball games here.

  8. @ProEvoFifa59 American here. Totally agree with you. Pro sports announcers in the US are generally boring. British commentary reminds me alot of college football/basketball annoucers. Alot more passionate about the action and teams. There are a few at the pro level but usually they are local radio guys. That's my 2 cents.

  10. My opinions-British and American commentators are both crap compared to latin american/spanish commentators.

P.S. I don't give a shit what this sport is called.

  11. @adonley77 well its not. simple as. if u want to make an argument that FOOTBALL (NOT SOCCER) is boring then why dont u hav tht argument with the millons of fans round the world. it is the most popular sport in the world. are you deluded? football captivates people all across the world. u r so stupid u obviously dont watch football if u say its all ballchasing, u havent got a clue

  12. @DaR3dD3vil Where cant he score goals? 51 and counting international goals (Including 5 in this campaign alone) and in the top 10 all time premier league scorers. The man is a goal machine.

  13. @adonley77 dont come up with crap like that. if it is boring why is it the most popular sport in the world. Just yesterday in fact, in the English Premier league, one game between Tottenham and Man City finished 1-5 and another game between Man United and Arsenal finished 8-2. if thts boring then wow you must have a REALLY fun life

  14. Tough competition between the defence and the cameraman for the worst performance of the night.
Robbie can only beat what is put in front of him (usually).
