  1. If this is what the quality of officials will be every week than the MLS will continue to grow as a league. But, they NEED to keep this quality of officiating. Its been very on and off in this league.

  2. @330df: I'm sure Will Johnson will remember that when he joins a marching band. Until then he plays soccer and the wall has to be 10 yds away, not feet. Try again.

  3. Yeah for real, Baca's first yellow was questionable. But I actually agree with Borg, that the second one is somewhere in between a yellow and red, so overall idk if Baca getting the red is unreasonable.

  4. Honestly, I rarely agree with this man, but Simon is right. This is probably the best week the officials have had all season in MLS. Generally we have at least 3 blatantly incorrect calls per week. This week, there were 0 blatantly incorrect calls, and considerably less questionable calls than normal. I hope it is a sign of our referee corps gaining confidence in their eyes (and not listening to the players who will always lie to you if they can) and not random chance or chaos theory

  5. I'm surprised this didn't show Casey's response to Baca's challenge. He gave him a shove and was in his face, shouldn't the Disciplinary Committee have a look at that?

  6. Just fyi, there isn't a charging call in football, if you're in the box and you don't touch the ball and stop a player, regardless of your motion, its a foul.
