Medunjinin what the fudge were you doing!? you left Philadelphia with 9 players!!!
“You can’t treat the referee this way”. Refs aren’t angels you know, just because they’re refs. And sometimes, especially nowadays, even in hockey, refs deserve a wake-up call for the dumb calls they make.
Omg
Both calls right from the ref.
Absolutely a penalty he didn't win the ball he took the opponent on the ground clear pk what r these guys r talking about on national tv???
Mendunjanin was yelling at the ref and started chest bumping him and by his head movements looked like he was trying the soccer players' headbutt..
Any contact with an official should be an instant red card.
this guy is wrong, not the ref, the commentator. ball first does not relieve you of a kicking/tripping penalty
The rules are the rules, first yellow or second doesn't matter-the yellow card offenses are clearly listed and intentionally interfering with a re-start is one of them. Two appropriate rulings on the second incident as well, yellow for dissent then another yellow/red for the physical contact with the referee.
As a referee, these are so hard to watch but also entertaining. It hurts when they say "It's not a foul because he got the ball." Any refs agree?
Honestly the ref who refed the Atlanta game and gave two yellows and a red I would do the same. I am a referee and well if I card a player for descent and they don't leave I'm going to card them again and send them off.
Bobby doesn't know what he is talking about. If you a doing any form of dissent (yelling at the ref) you get a yellow. If you continue you could possibly get a 2nd yellow. Good call by the ref. In the galaxy-timber game, the defender does not play the ball.
Where did they get Andrew and Bobby? They don't know how to properly apply the rules. Whether or not Bedoya's second yellow was for delaying the restart or not. He still cannot stand inside the arc to make Martínez wait to take the penalty. By rule he delayed the restart of the game by going into the arc, so he deserved a yellow card for it. Just cause it happens all over the world and refs don't call it does not make it ok to do.
To be fair the ref seems pretty empty in that head of his
You should not get a second yellow for delaying a restart? No. You should get it. There is no first vs second yellow distinction in the laws of the game. And if Bedoya going to be that stupid, then he earned it.
What a bunch of children
That's right. If you touch the ball first, you can anything you want with the follow-through.
You're idiots.
Bro these guys are trash like who even let you comment you guys have no clue what that game is
Thought espn had bad commentary. guess i was wrong
These people are so fucking dumb. The first foul is 110% a penalty, regardless if he got the ball or not
Philly kit looks like cowboys colour rush
If you watch this, do yourself a favor: turn the sound off, so you don't have to listen to the ignorant commentary.
Don't give an another chance to this Referee. because, we need to see good football
God I miss sports.
When will you get it into your heads, just because he got the ball, if his reckless action continues to then strike a player from behind and brings them down off the ball, it is still a free kick!
Delaying the restart is a mandatory yellow so the the ref got it right in the first clip
