The Portland Timbers should be relegated to the USL. They need about 4 new players for their starting team. Why is it that every promising player we get either leaves because they're unhappy, Evander, Santi Moreno, or they never get close to their promise? It seems that they're putting pieces into a puzzle that never works. DeCosta isn't an impact 10, he's a competent 8 that disappears as a 10. Kelsey doesn't have the mentality of a pro player, he just plays one on TV. Mora is a specialized in the box forward that needs competent players around him to score, look at his production when Rodriquez and Evander played with him compared to now. He's a bench player trying his best but it's a lost cause. Anthony looks like he's been paid off by the opposing team, his pass completion rate has to be the worst in the league. The big question is: Is there a bad team culture in the organization or is it impossible for the Timbers to attract and keep impact players? This is from a Timbers fan since 1975, I think Meritt Paulson and Ned Grabavoy need to leave town and sell the team to new management.

The RSL after goal chants are so cool. Why Americans insist in that South/Central American based, drum junk metal sound slug, beating for all 90m long?! The drum should only drum, when followed by chants or claps, otherwise you are just making a quinceañera, without any justifiable birthday around.
Chants and claps are way cooler and motivational than any trumpet, followed by random drum beats and metal clinks and clunks.

The sports bar I went to (a Timbers Pub Partner, or some such thing) didn't have the Direct TV/Apple connection to be able to watch this, but i didn't miss much. Statement win from the Jack Mormons (except for Gozo, I thjnk he's LDS?) after we put them out of the playoffs last season. Like watching greyhounds vs weiner dogs today. Pantemis should get combat pay

The defense on that 1st goal was atrocious. Were it not for Pantemis RSL would've won 10-0.
I can smell Portlands defense through my screen… I almost thought it was the homeless camp down the road.
It's interesting that in an MLS games the announcers seemed to keep going back to international football and who get's on the National team. MLS is almost viewed as an afterthought or that its' worth being distracted by national team issues; sadly. And when watching the EPL it was all about the league, about relegation, about Arsenal trying to extend the lead over City. No England squad discussions. The league was not second place.
