  1. While we don't know what's been said and heard, there's one thing that's working against Presitanni. Sure, he covered his mouth and people already questioned why he felt he needed to do that. But if you look at his reaction immediately after when Vini, Jr., ran towards the referee, Prestianni threw his hands open as if saying, what? you are going to the ref? Think about that for a minute. His reaction tells us that there's something about what he said, whatever it was, might have gotten him in trouble.

  2. One pivotal move that would bring immediate awareness & global impact would be for the players to come in solidarity & organize a 1 game protect across multiple leagues. I think that would place a larger spotlight on the issue, & then force some stronger actions to help with racism in sport.

Sadly, it will never go away 100%, but from the small minority of fans in the stands promoting racism, it will set a precedent worldwide. The players have the power.

  3. Many people are misunderstanding the "hatred" towards Vinicius. In 90% of cases, it has nothing to do with racism; it's because Vinicius is a rather despicable human being who talks too much, insults, lies, is almost always trying to deceive the referees into calling fouls in his favor, and when he's winning, he belittles and tries to humiliate the opponent.

  4. A provisional suspension is not a final judgment, but the reality is that Benfica now have to play without Prestianni. At the same time, Vinícius avoided a second yellow, Carreras wasn’t booked for simulation, and Valverde is available despite the aggression claims. It’s hard not to question the consistency. If fair play is the standard, it should apply equally across all incidents — not just selectively. Consistency and transparency are essential for trust in the game.
