Thatâs what separates him from everyone else. And Roberto Carlos has said that he is better the him and does things that he couldnât even do and has said that he is his successor. Saying Marcelo is one of the greatest left-backs of all time isn't a stretch. Even though he lacked major international success and accolades, Marcelo at Real Madrid was simply entertaining to watch. His dribbling, creativity, and attacking flair made him more than just a defenderâhe was a playmaker from the back. Once they get sold these are the players should be sign based on their positions on or before July 2027.

Who came up with this agenda that he has to win a world cup in order to reach legendary or goat status as one of the best left backs of all time? He is definitely the best left back of the last 15 years and maybe of all times. I hate that you guys in general mention world cups in order to show how great a player is. Thousands of players throughout the years have won world cups, but apart from that Real Madrid team, I donât think you can name me players that have won 5 champions leagues while playing as a starter in most games, 3 peating the champions league as well.
