"By your law" it's the law of the game, it's a red, it doesnt matter if pros are in the var room or not. Argue with the law not saying it's the wrong decision. Imo intent should never be in a football law

Anyone, like Clint, who “isn’t a fan of VAR” simply never witnessed or doesn’t remember the quantity and magnitude of refereeing failures that used to decide games regularly.
It's about refree decisions for me no need of var as a refree we should stand with what is right or wrong

the thing is referee always follow the rules by the book without considering footballers pov. at the same time there are times when the ref and var blatanly ''missed' calling the correct calls. if rashford was sent off, it should be consistent. so many players never got sent off or get booked for similar or worse challenges.
So anytime a player attempts to shield the ball by stepping in-between the other player they are now at risk of receiving a red card. Absolutely ridiculous, why do refs have the flexibility to interpret some decisions that are highly subjective, but then have to apply the absolute letter of the law. VAR is making officiating a lot more complex than it ever has or needs to be. Get rid.

That is never a red card. The laws are broken. The game is too fast to analysing in milli seconds. Rashford even has his back to the player
Modric got a red card last year because he clipped the achilles of a player.
Of course Rashford didn't intend to do it but that foul could've ended that player's career
The reason high boots are given red several times even if the victim player is not seriously injured
Like that is why foul rules are there to protect the player. You don't want to kill him and then think oh we should've called it off at the early stage only
These are the early stages a dangerous play which "might" produce damage so to avoid it red is awarded

English people are hypocrites. If a Copenhagen player got this red card, they wouldn't have made an issue out of it. Last year Tomori got a bad red card against Chelsea and nobody said anything about it.
Intentional or unintentional, the players must be protected, a red card is fair.

They should just have a postgame interviews with the refs explaining their decision in calls, not all of them but the main ones. Ik ppl are gonna say that the refs might run the risk of being harassed and they should do something to prevent that from happening
