Press Together Rondo | Apply Pressure As A Team | Football/Soccer



This drill encourages the players to work together when applying pressure. The defenders are trying to win the ball back, but with them both being in the same square when doing so. With this, they are encourages to stick together, and work on pressing techniques to achieve the goal.
On the flip side, the attacking team is encouraged to spread out, and look to move the ball quickly away form the double pressure.

  1. First off, just hands down the best socc/football channel of this type on YT. I know other people do different content styles, but your presentation of these exercises helps me plan my sessions in a very limited amount of time, as I'm just a volunteer travel coach, having to run sessions two nights a week, and a working father of two. Time is precious, this cuts right to the material.

    Second, What age would you recommend this for? The concept is fairly easy, but I have a pretty rammy bunch of 10-11yo boys, and I like to try to keep everyone playing at all times, and this particular one looks like there might be some waiting around involved on some of the blue players. Thoughts?
