  1. Wrong anyone cannot beat anyone on their day .the best most teams can do is pack their defence and hope for a draw against the vest team in division, who finally achieve the top spot they thoroughly deserve. Burnley only 2 defeats all season both under difficult circumstances both by one nil. Record number of clean sheets, 28 games undefeated, never had more than one goal scored against them and if the standard of refereeing wasn't so biased against them or in a lot of instances just plain pathetic. Against Coventry was a good example, Coventrys goal was blatantly offside, there was a deliberate handball and a foul on the penalty box and the most blatant red card offence against a Burnley player breaking through with just the keeper to beat and this was the second time this had happened in the match. The tackle from behind is illegal and an instant booking, yet I counting 6 times the useless referee and his equally useless linesmen ignored these transgressions. How many penalties have Burnley received this season and I guarantee it should be trebled. Coventry fans were booing because their team were fouling and at first being pulled up for it. Under pressure one assumes the referee let Coventry get away with a lot, until Burnly fans started booing him. To be fair referees are appalling bad in this league and often both teams suffer from these officials incompetence. If my beloved Burnley win the Championship this season it will be despite the efforts of the other 23 teams and bias and incompetence of the officialdom in the matches. UP THE CLARETS!
