  1. Was at it 1st half was a massive let them 2nd Half Ireland played very well if ireland had played like that in the 1st imo would have won the game hungray red card was a massive difference well done

  2. Rubbish liar Icelander Viking !
    F……ck you from Australia !
We will beat you in Budapest with a great result and great play and hopefully with a honest referee !
And hopefully 🙏 you will acknowledge the better team !

  3. Lads / lassies, boys / girls, ladies / gentlmen: OK, the first half was s@it, as Heimer said, but we got a point. There are still 5 games to go, let's keep the cool, calm down and support out boys until our interest in this campaign has ended…If you can't do that, then bugger off and "support" some other team; after all, NOBODY is forcing you to watch our boys and girls. COYBIG…!!☘☘

  4. Team of Hungary played football, the Irish played wrestling, rugby or whatever… The referre was a shame for all that we call football: before the first Irish goal, the Irish player hit the face of the Hungarian defender by elbow, no yellow/red card for him but a goal for Ireland. Just before the red card of Sallai, there was a situation when he was pulled back by the Irish defender: no wistle, no free kick for Hungary and no yellow card for the Irish player. Well, response from Sallai was not correct and clever at all, and we should apologize for that. Football and sport shold be about fair competition of players and nations, but corrupt/biased referees should be out of business… I think this is a wish from the Irish supporters: win or make a draw on a pitch under fair conditions that can make them proud for the Irish team without the help of a German referre… Have a look at England vs. Hungary Nations Liga match in Wolverhampton snd the referre performance: that was a football match, not rugby, what we had in the second half yesterday…

  5. Every time a player goes down holding his head and the game is required to be stopped as a result should result in a rugby style HIA and the player removed from the pitch. The deliberate holding of the head after every contact in order to stop the phase of play is one of the worst forms of cheating that exists in football right now. Hungary can cry about over physicality but when you go down deliberately every time a player brushes against you then you become the boy who cries wolf. If they played the game like men which unfortunately is not too common in the mens game any more then they might have grounds for complaint but the referee was left to try and decipher what was cheating and what was not all throughout and if he got a few wrong then to be honest who could blame him.

  6. I dont understand people being happy with the 2nd half? 45 mins of booting balls into the box and hoping for something with no one trying to put their foot on the ball and play in midfield. We are absolutely horrendous and would get embarrassed at the world cup

  7. Reality vs. Irish Media —>
No ideas, no tactics, no creativity in the first half — the Hungarians outplayed the overhyped Irish team. The second half showed some improvement, but imagination was still missing. It turned into little more than an Irish wrestling match.
The Irish offered nothing special. They relied almost entirely on physical strength in duels and repeatedly launched the ball into the Hungarian penalty area. This is what they have been trained for since childhood, and this is where their strength lies. But this is Irish football: nothing more.

  8. How can the team be so lazy in the first half and be that sloppy with such an important game. They are very bad players. Doherty is a lazy terrible player, just get rid of him for heavens sake.

  9. Cheating/ref on our side for Ireland – who ever is saying that ye obviously had too much Vodka pre/post game and need new specs.
Hungarian players after going two up – constantly rolling over for any contact slowing down which in fairness is a good game plan but their keeper for the free kick was terrible and player sent off awful/stupidity…

  10. Heimir is very honest. Answers questions in a straight forward way. It's a shock to the system in Ireland when ur used to listening our sleeveen politicians from FF, FG, SF, GRN, LAB, SD , PBP

  11. the ref won the game! Congratulations to both, the referee and Irish team, it's not easy to cheat to salvage a point! It's always nice to see a team who play rugby on a football pitch with the referee as their 12th player 🍀🍀

  12. Getting pretty tired of Hungarian sour grapes littered all over comments sections. They only have themslves and Salai to blame for dangerous play which lead to the sending off, their biggest hindrance in the game. Yes Ireland were fortunate enough to get a point from the match but credit must be given for showing character when it was needed and bringing the game to a team 30 odd places above them in the FIFA world rankings and manifestly more technically efficient.

  13. What I liked about this game was that even when we went 2 goals down we didn’t give up if that was Kenny in charge we would’ve given up and also we actually got something out of the game we’ll take real positives from this

  14. Congrats to the Irish. They show their spirit yesterday. However the referee was a shame and Sallai was silly to do that fault. I'm almost sure at home with our fanatics we going to win the game against Ireland.

  15. Dreadful first half by Ireland. They looked completely out of their depth. What to do? Truth is the Irish have no decent players to call up and must mend and make do. Take Doherty, a Pm player with Wolves, was played out of position and looked completely lost. Yes Ireland lack any depth in players but that does not mean that they cannot get simple tactics right. Like not playing one right back and one left back together on the left. If you are going to play 4 4 2 then at least have two fast wide men in the MF but Ireland did not do this until much later when Ogbene came on. Playing 4 4 2 is out of date. 4 2 3 1 would have worked much better for Ireland. My starters would have been Traves, O Brien O Shea Collins Manning, Cullen Knight, Ogbene Idah Johnson with Ferguson as the spear tip. That would have offered much more cover and giving a good spring-board for attack. They need to play this formation against Armina. And defend much better.
