True. Portugal plays better without ronaldo. I mean even if u are Ronaldo, he is already 40. He is declining and can’t give 100% every match and even if he plays, he has to conserve his stamina whereas there are younger , healthier and hungrier people in the squad.But on the other hand, both as a player and as a captain, ronaldo is crucial, his experience and his offensive awareness are exceptional. He should be playing like half time or 60 minutes then substitute might be better for the portugal overall. Portugal will be a better team if ronaldo is a substitute
