Timbers fan and (very) amateur ref here. The advantage materialized. Lassiter had a more open look than Paredes, he just fluffed it. This looks like the correct application of the rule, but the rule itself should change.
As a Sounders fan that was a bad no call in stoppage
I was at that game, that ref heard it from everyone there. The "f*** you ref" chant started at the end of the game too and some Galaxy fans took that draw as a win from how fu ked of a season they've had so far.
