  1. The most ridiculous argument?! How about criticizing the person who is alleged to be in control of the game for – NOT DOING HIS JOB?!

    Let’s see how this was supposed to work: the field ref blows his whistle, IMMEDIATELY stopping play the moment Nagbe boots the ball. At that moment the field ref can choose to give Nagbe a warning or a yellow (a yellow would be preferable if he doesn’t want this to happen again!).

    Then the ref has the ball placed – IN ITS CORRECT SPOT ON THE FIELD. THEN AND ONLY THEN DOES PLAY RESTART. THAT… is what was supposed to happen.

    Stop blaming players for ref’s blatant errors.

  2. 34:55 The commodification of sport and athletes is wild. Hearing pundits and commentators talk about humans as products, assembled teams as "products on the field", "buying" and "selling" players. Nothing new, it just still blows my mind every time I hear it.
