  1. They really need to clarify the handball rules. Chambost was jumping in an attempt to block the shot. When you jump your arms go up. Natural position. How can that be considered for a handball? As a Crew fan I like it was overturned but still what is a player supposed to do?

  2. Wow….
    It has happened.

This die-hard Timbers fans head is shaking in disbelief on this final minute challenge at 1:46.

    Sorry. That's intentional.

The amount of force is not the antecedent nor the sole justification.

All while in the first few weeks of the season… Call these early, particularly at the end of a 2-0 match at midfield.

  3. 8:36 β€œI don’t think this is intentional!”
By FA law, it kinda has to be!
And it is definitely negligible. He did not made any violent motion to the defender! Stupid red

  4. That's bull crap. The ref did nothing about the jersey grab. Fray is trying to free himself and happens to get his neck. There is not a lot of force. But either way, the ref failed here. The game is done. The second he grabs a fist full of jersey I'd pull my yellow card and then if he doesn't let go I'm giving a second yellow for unsportsmanlike conduct. Thus ref really screwed up here.

  5. Hate Miami but the Fray red card is straight bullshit. Hard disagree on the call on the field and hard disagree with Wiebe’s take.

Not meaningful contact to the neck, and all done in order to escape a violent grab by the opposing player. Dumb call.

  6. My favourite MLS youtube series. Please don't stop making these.

I disagree with fray and also aviles red card last week. aviles wasnt last defender at point of foul, granted the foul carried, but the second defender was close by, and we are talking a slight shirt pull.

  7. Absolute joke of a review and a league. Houston player, in front of the ref, comes and grabs Fray. Ref penalizes Fray for attempting to break free, Houston player walks away with nothing for the grab.

Houston finished the game with 24 fouls but only 2 yellows. Miami finished with 14 fouls but 5 yellows and 1 red. Fire that ref.

  8. Sorry Wiebe but that is insane to give Ian Fray a red card when he is actively trying to walk away from the player. DisCo must overturn that…and poor on the referee for allowing that to happen and not giving a yellow to the Houston player to stop that from escalating in the first place.

  9. Diego Luna didn't receive any card at all for his challenge on Nouhou. The ref was loose on RSL tackling studs up all day, resulting in the later challenge on Roldan that should have been red.
