BS red card
Definitely Red card is exaggerated. We saw many that kind and worse from Argentines and not even a yellow card was given. That referee is very wrong. Bs
It was an accident the peruvian player was gonna hit it and the canadian got in the way. Plus they are playing fast so they didnt have time to react
He didn’t go over the top of the ball. He literally kicked the ball. Not a red card
Yellow card was a minimum, whether or not to make it red was up to officiating crews discretion, I personally think they made the right call.

Studs up follow through into the leg is always a straight red.

No way the player went for the ball it was never intentional if anything after the peruvian player hit the ball that was when he came into contact with the Canadian player it a bad call on the referee's part 😢
He kicked through the ball and caught the opposite player in his follow through. Yellow card, sure. Red card was harsh.

Never a red card
This is ridiculous. Not even a foul. He kicked the ball. Your foot has momentum and follows through whether you want it to or not. As a defender, I have been kicked this way dozens of times. It hurts. It sucks. And in no way is it a foul on the offensive player who is playing the ball.
The Canadian placed his leg in there as the guy was kicking.

How much did Canada pay for this? The Peruvian got there first, he is the defender. The Canadian had a bad challenge and no contact with the ball.
