I get this guys point, and it's a well made one. But one thing he is forgetting is that many Latinos, especially of this generation, were born in the US and are now American. This is our home. This is our culture now. We never forget our roots, but the US is now our country. We respect where we came from by showing our love for Soccer, which is why we root for the US National Team. The US, even with all its problems, is still a country that in which you make your own way, at least more so than other countries. So while Mexico is the leader of the CONCACAF as of this writing, it only takes one game for that to change.
Why does it feel like this game is getting hyped as fuck compared to the last ones? USA may lose or draw but it does not matter, we are going to the World Cup regardless. We will pass mexican soccer one day for sure.
