I don't understand, this is supposed to be "controversial" plays or calls? Yet, we spend 4 minutes in the middle of the video just brown nosing PRO showing plays that were either allowed or disallowed goals and then held up or reversed by VAR talking about what great work they did? Like….. ok
That's why MLS players are soft in the national team. You see faults where there isn't.
Every reffere who does his job in MLS has 0 football knowladge like every Comentator… America emberessing themselfs every week
These are great vids
Fine Lucho
What I donāt get is why do they raise the flag after the goals are scored. Thatās what is annoying
Not a look at either PK no call for Portland, just Harkes who was on the thinnest of ice after a studs to the chest tackle.
Lol Atlanta can't catch a break. Its not enough they are having a terrible year, the refs are piling on too.
Guy in the last video flies very fast, in straight leg, studs exposed, and just because the attacker jumps out of the way from a potential leg breaker, people think itās shouldnāt be a yellow card. Lol.
Shelton wouldve broken his leg if he made actual contact. Yellow was definitely warranted. Wouldve easily been a straight red if full contact ocurred
As others have said, what happened to Matchday 18? There were definitely problematic calls.
That SKC ref needs to hang up the whistle, that was a God awful game. VAR once again disappoints and a clear dive to secure a red card. Truly awful.
I'm confused on how the 2nd clip Atlanta was offside. Didn't he receive the ball directly from a corner kick?
Last reply was a total dive, no Red, Yellow for the flopper.
Still don't think that second Columbus goal was offsides. The ref looking down the line but how could he possibly see when that ball is played. A half second could keep the player on or off. Should have kept that one down. VAR didn't even check it either. The ball was in play about 2 seconds after the ball was in the net.
Then the RSL goal looked more offsides then the Columbus one. The official was in perfect position for that one too. Not sure why Wiebe doesnt use the same logic for the RSL one as he did with Columbus. It was almost identical
Great show! First time I have found it. Please keep it going! Love the content!
Not even a look at the Rapids game where there were two opportunities for a PK on one play? Canāt believe those were not reviewed.
does anyone think the audio quality of the video has room for improvement?
Did you record this voice over in an untreated room, did the editor miss a step in the mastering process, or are you a little sick? Get better if you are sick.
6:44 I've seen this several times, now, and it's not a foul. No PK, and a yellow for a dive. The forward clearly draws his feet together to trip himself. I disagree with Wiebe. This one should have been sent down for review.
As a youth referee I really appreciate these videos to see some interesting calls and learn from them and I think Wiebe has gotten much better since the start. And that second yellow for SKC is a good catch, itās completely right that contact isnāt necessary, because he did challenge for the ball and it was certainly reckless in nature
Where is Instant Replay for last week – Matchday 18?!?!
There was not a lack of controversial calls.
I would have loved to have gotten a take on the two red cards issued to Seattle.
Did I miss instant replay for match day 18?
On the last one, at 7:46, I see Shelton absolutely make contact with Pedrinho's foot. If you stop it as the tackle happens, you'll see Pedrinho's foot suddenly move in the direction of Shelton's slide in a way that isn't explainable by him having just kicked the ball
Sorry Andrew, but that first clip is not dependent on if it clear and obviously isnāt a PK, but if it IS a PK! To me, if the goalkeeper gets a touch on the ball, then it isnāt a foul. The keeper is doing his job! Plus, the officials have angles that you do not! Donāt force your vantage point when it isnāt as good as theirs!
Clip 1: Foul, PK
Clip 2: Offside
Clip 3: Late, Sloppy, Foul – no card
Clip 4: Offside
Clip 5: Offside
Clip 6: Offside
Clip 7: Offside
Clip 8: Offside
Clip 9: Hand-ball
Clip 10: Not Offside – Goal
Clip 11: Offside
Clip 12: Dive/Flop
Clip 13: Sloppy/Seriously Stupid Useless Slide Tackle/Red card
Tbh I thought that 2nd CLB offside goal was on. But since I'm a Whitecaps fan, I'm glad I was wrong.
Also, Lucho is a very good scam artist on his "pen"
Harkes should have only been given a warning
