I’ve now given up watching Premier League football and potentially football completely. I’ve been watching it for 25 years (I’m early 30s), but no longer feel I can identify with it and feel it has moved away from the reasons I loved it. Onwards and upwards and onto new hobbies for me.

Will any of these players maintain this level of piety when the 2022 world Cup comes around. Will they stand in solidarity for the slave labourers who have been exploited to build stadiums for the tournament and Boycott the tournament, or will they go and play because they are only interested in the moral high ground when it economically benefits them?
