  1. La Maestro!

super-talented, super passionate, a true maverick of the game 👏

    what a player!
the only west ham player that stood out and always came up with something extraordinary!
    He is Football!

    Nothing but Respect 👏

    Chelsea Fan

  2. Had no interest in him as a player, but loved the goal he scored to beat man utd at old trafford

West ham, had a bite to them playing against man utd, because of the paul ince stuff, and west ham always upped there game playing manutd, so even if you were not interested in west ham back then, you knew they would do there best playing man utd, because of that paul ince stuff.

That was the moment where i remember dicanio most, his wonderful goal at old trafford beating man utd.

Fair play to west ham, when they played man utd they gave it there all.

Good for him he stayed at west ham, and stayed loyal to those fans, as he would never of got the love at man utd he got at west ham. Man utd fans mostly back then were corporate fans, and most die hard man utd fans mostly could not get to see the team, as man utd games back then were full of corporate types who brought tickets

Roy keane famous rant on man utd fans prove that.

When you have fans that love you like west ham fans did to dicanio, you were right to stay there. If you play for west ham fans, and give it your all, no matter what the result, those people love those players who play for them, and give it everything.

Man utd fans are not like that, most of old trafford fans are fair weather fans, they would call them, as roy keane said back then.

If your a good player and can play infront of fans like west ham fans, your right to not to want to move on.

You just cannot get that at most clubs, and like i said, west ham, if a player played his heart out for the team, no matter what result, those fans loved those players.

Dicanio, was that person, and fair play to him, for being a big star who wanted to play infront of fans who gave him that love every week.

  3. I’m a massive West Ham fan but the truth is he never turned down Sir Alex. He agreed to sign for United and the only reason why the move didn’t go through was because Dwight Yorke sale could t be finalised in time. Other than that he was going. I was at the Leicester home game where he scored the winner and waved goodbye to the fans so trust me he was 100% leaving West Ham 👍🏻

  4. I'm West ham and im speaking on behalf of all hammers we love Paolo. Hes got a West ham tattoo on his arm just shows who he is. You never see that. West ham loves you di canio your our legend
