Ofcourse it was intentional and yes it was a penalty. The Panamanian knew what he was doing. He fell sideways and was looking directly at the ball. It wasn't by coincidence. If he would've fell while trying to get up he would've landed on his ass. That is why he got so furious because he did a terrible mistake and ruined it for his squad. There is a such thing in every sport, my people call it "colmillo", people commit fouls intentionally and try to fool the ref by looking the other way or act like it wasn't intentional. Pulling jerseys, holding you back with there arm while guarding you closely, kicking you or giving you a dead leg pretending to go for the ball etc. and many times the ref does not call the foul because some players know how to do it. Some don't. Stupid ass people don't know that. They just repeat what the other guy said followers. How many times has a player commited a hand ball in inside the 18 and just look the other way and get away with it? It's a 50/50 chance. This fella failed thats why he was upset. Mexico didn't deserve to win. Panama outplayed them with one less player but that dude fucked up and he needs to recognize. Also, Mexico is not the ref and it's not their fault so…
