  1. Best Cuban ⚽️ player of all time 🇨🇺…If it wasn't for politics Alonso would of made Cuba a strong team no doubt especially with former MLS player Maikel Galindo and current Chicago Fire starter Jorge Luis Corrales

  2. This is kind of a unexplainable thing, are the Cuban players property of the government?so they determine where ,when and against who they can play.aren't they tired of controlling how much fresh air the Cuban people can breath. This makes me upset no wonder why I decided one day to get on a homemade raft and leave all behind.Grrrrr……..

  3. Checking Wikipedia, all players on the NT roster play for a Cuban club. One under the "recent call-ups," Yaikel Pérez, is listed as playing for an El Salvadoran club. He defected in 2006 and I don't know when that call up was. None of the players listed on the Wikipedia article that defected have gone on to play with any other NT. With the possible exception of Pérez, none have played for the Cuban NT since their defection.

  4. Alonso is honestly one of the elite defensive mids in football. There are very few players in the world at his position that I would trade him for.
