Yes France was the better team but they revealed weaknesses in defence to. The full backs are their achilles heel.
B team of Norway is miles away much better than Capo Verde or Curaçao or Haiti or Quatar. Nobody's saying that Norway was prefering to lose rather than finishing first of the group and playing Sweden (3 WC semi finals) in round 32 then Germany (4WC winner) in round 16then Brasil (5 WC winner) in round 8 and Spain (1 WC) in semi. Any real pundit knows that even if Norway plays their A team they will lost against France. It’s quite inevitable France is a very hungry team w the best players in football right now bar none! So might as well keep and save their best team moving forward in the World Cup, as we all know whether Norway wins or not they are advancing so might as well rest the players or not gamble on them getting hurt. It just makes total sense. France needed goals and to win in this match to get the first place, and for a team w the star power and star player arsenal they have, yeah they can play their a team to get the first place in the group ranking. Mbappé and the other star players can play full time tonight and still play their best performance against Germany in 4 days..it doesn’t make a difference as they are such creme de la creme of the elite players.
