  1. This wasnt a good game but it was exciting to watch for the history of both teams. Argentina played horribly so it wasnt enjoyable from that point of view and Cape did what they could. Entertaining yes, good match no.

  2. Cape Verde is a great example of 11 guys playing as a team with no superstars and egos. They came in as a team, played as a team, and in my bookโ€ฆ Won the hearts and minds of everyone as a team.

  3. Can you imagine some pundits complaining about small unknown countries like Cape Verde, Carucao, etc. This was far better than games between established favourites ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ข

  4. If u allow Cabo Verde to take u this deep in a match then Argentina needs to be criticisedโ€ฆ they are championsโ€ฆ people are praising Cabo Verde โ€ฆ but hat about a Argentinaโ€ฆ this wa atheist first decent opponent and they almost bottled it

  5. African football is not as the world has continuously underated, we are resilient people…we are coming for the big one in a few more….welcome in advance to Africa the home of Humanity for the next one in 2030.

  6. Phenomenal game. But, at theend of the day " Argentina" stayed focused and WON the game in the "crucial" moment of the tournament. That's what great teams do. Cape Verde is probably the toughest Team they will have to face the rest of the World Cup until they face " France" in the Finals. Again.

  7. this game was going to go one of 2 ways. an absolute stomp for argentina. cape verde have been non stop running for the last 3 games so it was very possible they would be exhausted and make many mistakes, or get sloppy after conceding. or alternatively it would have been a defensive masterclass argentina struggled to break down. im so happy we got the second version

  8. Dude. Cabo Verde has a lifelong fan in me. What a team. What a goalkeeper. Some say he is part octopus. He was EVERYWHERE and understood the assignment. But thatโ€™s what champions do (Argentina): they find ways to win. And I am glad the ref didnโ€™t call the hand in the second half a penalty (and trust me some refs woulda called it on Cabo verde).

  9. This is the other page of world cup, Argentina suffered for a win, and they are applauded and called hard winners.

Now flip that to Portugal, they suffered for a hard win against a highly experienced Croatian side, and every pundit either blames the midfield or ronaldo.

Why don't we applaud all winners the same way for hard win coz what matters at this stage is winning, that's all.
