I do remember that overhead kick goal . I was 13 year old when I watch that highlights game between Man City n united . And that Rooney goal made me become a huge fan of united . A lot of South Americans (like me!) love Rooney and see him as a legend. And we know a thing or two about legendary footballers! He was brave and tough, but also technically excellent and very clever on the pitch. I was very surprised when I found out most English people don’t rate him that highly, he remains to date as the best English player I’ve ever seen alongside Scholes. Maybe it’s because he didn’t win anything with the national team?
