City were mid table in the mid 00’s, Noel is exaggerating, they weren’t terrible. They beat Carragher’s Liverpool team that season in 2005. ‘05 to ‘07 they seemed to have no money and had a couple of lean seasons but were still mid table in both.
City’s genuine bad years were ‘93 to ‘01, coincidentally when Oasis burst on to the scene and during their peak. When Oasis were at their biggest City were at their worst.
When Kevin Keegan came in in 2001 he attracted some big names like Anelka and Berkovic.
We also beat Liverpool at Anfield under Keegan so Carragher can wind his neck in.
