The 3 seed NYCFC defeated the 6 seed Inter Miami in the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs from Citi Field in New York. After a scoreless first half, Gabriel Periera broke through for NYCFC in the 63rd minute with a stunning top shelf finish. Then only minutes later, Maxi Moralez capped off an impressive sequence for New York to make it 2-0. Heber finished a great night for NYCFC with a goal in extra time to make the score 3-0 as the final whistle blew.
