  1. It’s not a handball.. he had already won the ball and it was on his possession . If it was the other way around and it was on the usmnts players possession and he took it from him by using his hand then it would be a hand ball cause he would be called for using his hand to get an advantage over the ball and even then it would of been up to the referees discretion.. if he chose accidental hand contact or a foul for using his hand to give him an illegal advantage over his opponent!

  2. It's a rule , it was a hand ball on the semifinals Chelsea vs palmeiras it wasn't called as handball because the criteria of the play. In this case the player Lose balance and touch the ball so the var determines not intentional.

  3. This was a hand ball because his arm was in a unnatural position (making his body bigger) and it interfered with the play (if his arm didnt touch it it wouldn't hit his body if his arm was in a natural position the ball would of hit his body if he didnt touch it) making it a handball as a ref thats my opinion

  4. People that are saying that it wasn’t a handball y’all must not know soccer handball is a handball whether either touch it or you fall on it. It’s a handball and it’s clearly seen that the referees were bought by the Mexican team because that in real life was a humblethere’s no way you can not call that handle

  5. Recent changes in the guidance leave it up to the referee to judge intent. After all the work done in recent years to remove intent, now we have to judge whether he was trying to keep his balance and the ball got in the way or if he was trying to play the ball with his hand. I do not expect this guidance to last very long.

  6. Non intentional. Ref saw it and didn’t call it because it was obvious. No need for a review. Even the US coach realized it was an accident and said sorry to the sideline official for yelling at them to check VAR.

  7. Yes I will call no hand, because he was falling and he can't control the place where he is gonna fall on the ground, the hand never went to interfere the ball, the ball was there when he fall in the ground
