D.C. United have emerged from the Eastern Conference basement to move within two points of the playoff line and they can potentially put themselves in postseason position when they meet the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium Sunday night.
The Revs (7W-6L-8D) are winless in their last three following a 1-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls Wednesday, but still clinched a berth in the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs after FC Dallas defeated Inter Miami CF. D.C. United (5W-10L-6D) defeated Columbus Crew SC 1-0 Wednesday night at Audi Field for their third consecutive victory.
This is the fourth meeting this season, but first at Gillette Stadium. The Revs have won twice at Audi Field, including 2-0 in the last meeting Sept. 27 and the teams played to a 1-1 draw at the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando in July.

These highlights are almost unwatchable. You see a team attacking and then it just cuts away onto the next 'highlight' which might be a ball passed out of play on the half way line. I appreciate that 13 minute highlights are longer than you used to get on here but the extra time doesn't add anything when it's like this. Please try to look at how they do it on shows like Match of the Day, where you get to see more of the build up to the key moments.

8:58 watch number 91 on DC on this play. He should be picking up bunbury in the box, but he is seemingly unaware that teal is even behind him. When the pass comes across he goes and shields his own goalie Hamid making it incredibly hard for him to see and makes it even harder for him to save Bunbury’s shot. That was really just awful defense, but props to Tajon for seeing bunbury open and props to bunbury for burying it. I’m just glad we got 3 points out of that mess lol.

Huge three points for us. All 3 that we conceded were very sloppy. Alex wasn’t marking and Tommy got fouled. This was probably one of the worst games Alex has played and he has not impressed me at all this year. He has played one good match in a Revs kit and these poor performances are really getting annoying. He always stays to far up the pitch providing very little on the attack and doesn’t come back or mark on the defensive end. That being said our attack was very good. Adam got very unlucky that it was Hamid in DCs net because he probably would have had a hat trick if Hamid wasn’t there. Hamid also did well not giving away where he was going on that pen. Just have to accept how good he was on the night really. It was nice to see the Carles-Gustavo connection again after so long. Teal was also perfect with his two goals and good play. Tajon also had an under the radar performance with those great balls being served into the box. Sloppy, but great game for us. Let’s keep this 6th spot against the Union boys, GO REVS!!!!
