  1. Well, thatโ€™s the way to respond to a thrashing at the weekend. Vrioni, have yourself a half. Two clinical finishes. The first one a lovely bit of skill, and the second a tidy volley set up by a great ball from Noel Buck. Probably should have had a hat trick if not for a couple of spurned chances and a marginal offside call. For those wondering, they said he was โ€œleaningโ€ over the halfway line. Itโ€™s frustrating for sure, but didnโ€™t matter in the end. Ivacic as well, what a game. Unlucky to not have a clean sheet, but he had two massive saves to save a sleepy defense right before the half. A word of appreciation as well for Noel Buck with a beautiful ball to set up that second goal. I really hope that this run of games, however long it is without Carles Gil, shows Caleb Porter why he should be in the starting 11 every week. Speaking of someone who will be in the starting 11 every week, Dylan Borrero had a great 60+ tonight. Heโ€™s still working his way back to top fitness to be able to put in a full 90, but he really gave Atlanta problems down the left. Our defense did look vulnerable at times, but it was much improved from the game against Columbus, and Dejuan and Henry Kessler in particular had good games. Again, a great three points and thatโ€™s 5 wins in 6!

From an Atlanta point of view, itโ€™s crazy to hear what the club is going through right now. Weโ€™ve certainly had our fair share of players leave for Europe / other countries, such as Petrovic, Turner, Buchanan, and Buksa, but not all at the same time! First Giakoumakis, then Almada (apparently), and maybe Wiley, plus a new coach, all in the same summer window. Wild. Hopefully they can get a good DP in and a few other players, because that amount of talent all leaving at the same time is insane.
