  1. America is about to really watch a sport without real commercial breaks . Not sure if they are ready for that. This is what sports is about, not the side entertainment but the actual game

  2. So when Muslim players were stopping for less than a minute in the FULL game to break their fast, there’s an uproar… yet nobody bats an eye on “hydration breaks”‘for players NOT EVEN FASTING

  3. Football is NOT basketball. I don’t understand what the Infantino's team is doing with football. There is corruption and political involvement with this stupid peace prize, and now some stupid rules to break the rhythm of a football match. Infantino should be voted out.
The more rules there are, the more likelihood of referees misinterpreting them, or even abusing them to give the advantage to a team over another.
They should not be testing stupid rules at the highest sports event of the world. Those rules should be tested first in the different leagues before deciding to implement them in the world cup.

  4. I think it is true you don't need a hydration break. This is not Qatar. Climate wherever that is a variable is part of the game, and something teams have to prepare for. Most players will definitely use it as a technical break. I wouldn't chug water and then run that's a non starter and these athletes know it.

  5. Asking why the teams slow down and casually delay, need to be asked. If it's because theyrttired as a second half play, then the FIFA needs to control that by building into the game a FIFA rule timeout maybe one in each half and that gives control of this back to the refs and maybe the teams knowing that a timeout is coming they won't need to delay to get technical advice or little rest pace. Enforce the delays more strongly.

  6. Hmmm. Still nothing regarding wrestling 😡.
I've seen too many attackers spinning, falling down and the closest defender gets a yellow.
Yet, defenders are allowed to wrap both arms around someone like Erling Haaland and haul him to the ground.
But putting your hand over your mouth will earn you a red card. Unbelievable.

  7. Some of these rules are dumb and unrealistic, it's like they wanna ruin the game and FIFA just rigging the matches for certain outcomes, it destroys the credibility of the tournament 😒

  8. Honestly who cares about Americans. Don’t ruin football as well as every other good thing ever. This all gives us perspective re how accomodating Russians and Qataris were and how Americans can’t help but destroy any good. Rupture is real rip USA

  9. Hydration as a player even if you're tired takes 30 seconds max. Players are not disorganized, they are very high level players and can make it to and from the sidelines in the necessary time. At no point should a coach have enough time to break out a laptop for a team meeting during the course of either half. Breaking up halves into quarters is absurd as it completely destroys the flow of the game. Forcing players to make faster developing plays will lead to more mistakes and lower scoring games. I predict a LOT of tie games because of this nonsense.

  10. 5:07 THAT right there: proof that football is the game of idiots. We accept the notion of ‘stoppage time that is not strict’, implicitly accepting that some games may have 60 minutes of actual play time, while others may have 80… Football IS A JOKE 😅

  11. Fifa is somewhat serious about reducing time wasting. They did show this in the last world cup. But the leagues seem to love football being a circus. This should be clear: the clock running without stopping no matter what is absolute CIRCUS

  12. Total BS here. Every sport in America has breaks, timeouts and tactical options. We are used to this. It’s the normal way to play. Shut up and get out of the way of progress!

  13. Hydration break has no reason to be 3 minutes long. You only need 1 minute to take a drink. 3 minutes, just like the top comment says, it’s mainly for commercial breaks. It’s another way for fifa to make money. I’ve always complain about American football having too many commercials. This is basically a step towards having a lot of commercials. If you really want to add commercials, I’d rather they add the 3 minutes to half time.

  14. Stoppage time needs to be eliminated and the clock needs to just start at 45 and go DOWN, like in the NFL or NBA. And the clock is stopped when the game stops for stuff like injuries.
