  1. A defensive adjustment wouldn't have help much. Sometimes, you have to take initiative and make those adjustments with the flow of the game. Matt Turner was trash, is trash currently. I don't know what people are watching. His lateral movement/anticipation is subpar at best. He's not doing anything at Forest but helping his manager get sacked. Say what you want and injuries aside, Zack Steffen is much better than him. You can give Zack grief because he's considering a move back to MLS, but the fact that he started pretty much an entire season in the top flight Bundesliga, almost got his Middlesborough side up to the EPL. Turner bet against himself at Nottingham. How's that working out?

  2. USA should learn French play more defensive rather than attack in this game, Dutch was not good team, like second-rate team, USA would beat Dutch if they play more defense

  3. 0:45 Pullisic not even trying lmao what go wide at least just kicked it at the goalie omfg
1:00 USA defense playing man to man off the ball, very silly. double teaming (triple if u count Matthews) the highest Dutch player, leaving the entire top of the box free. well punished by Netherlands. A google search confirms it's mostly number 3 Zimmerman's fault. He sees the friendly defender in front of and should realize that he is positioned redundantly. Naw there's 3/5 defenders closest to the ball looking completely lost. Theoretically the ref was blocking the defender behind the play from intervening. If you pause at 1:05 you can see the ref is EXACTLY where an intercepting defender would come from. Whether or not it would've played out differently in his absence we'll never know. Would like to interview the defender/midfielder if he recalls feeling helpless in this situation. 1:04 is the exact second the separation occurs, the ref is directly in the path of the defender.
1:59 childish defending by Adams. Defend the play that you just conceded from first and trust you goalie to cover the non-existent shot from that angle. That angle the only play is to reset the ball. I always prefer allowing harmless attempts, trusting my defense than allowing the ball to be reset to the top center where there are there is the most potential scoring. Think about it. Matthews is properly glued to the near post. As soon as you allow the ball to go back to the top of the box your far post is wide open. Ok that wasn't the top of the box it was the penalty spot, which imho makes it also the fault of the rest of the defense but it all stems from a novice mistake in evaluating what the attacking player is threatening. 1:58 Adams just follows the ball blindly, maybe fearing a dribble down the line. He needs to react but not as deeply committed, as there is very little room for Dutch player to move the ball forward. Staying slightly in place, yet still preparing to body attacking player if he makes a run…he would prevent the devastating cross. For me this is fundamental defense, I do it consistently without second thought. Perhaps under slightly less pressure…showing the near post run and preventing the reset.
2:25 I evaluate this as a less than 25% chance of scoring conversion (?). Idk Zimms could've been an option but he kinda gets pushed back lamely, maybe it was a forceful shove also he's a CB lol.
3:23 maybe scoreable but a heavy touch. Maybe what Pulisic's earlier chance would've looked like going wide haha I could've been wrong. With longer grass this would've been a much better chance. Firstly he'd receive the ball sooner with more space between him & the keeper. 2ndly the heavy touch would've been more forgiving. Not even sure if a perfect touch could've worked in these circumstances, but on longer grass there would've been more opportunity to take a strong touch around the keeper and catch up to the ball quickly with enough of an angle to score. Starting with a touch right and then cutting left might've worked, elastico idk. Not very much space to work with & the keeper could just dive. The Dutch keeper does poorly. I'm definitely seeing a bunch of mediocrity from the Dutch but I'm not digging into them at all for some reason, haha very unpatriotic of me.
Love the goal from Wright, cheeky little chip. Magnicifent skill/touch.
4:19 zim lags, freezes, and crashes. I would've reacted well enough to challenge. bruh turned the wrong direction and didn't even make an attempt (given how slow he was it was unsaveable but at least pretend maybe the striker will get scared and fail under pressure haha yeah right it's the WC and u just lagged, looking very silly in the process). Maybe the man should've been marked. He wasn't. The goal was preventable. He crashes by acting exasperated and pointing fingers at his teammates, -when the guy he's pointing to was marking – rewatching they're triple teaming 1 dude and Robinson hasn't checked his 6, the scoring attacker was his responsibility, Zim is slightly forgiven for such a poor reaction as he calculated Robinson being spatially aware, u see Zim scanning seeing Robinson on the guy they're both marking, which should be enough information to tell him there's redundant defense meaning probably a hole somewhere. There was entirely enough time to remedy this mistake by stepping on the cross' target (b4 the final destination in our net). Robinson didn't scan at all. Maybe he felt Zimm wasn't tight enough on the attacker they both marked…idk Zim's positioning was decent enough to be able to intercept a cross there. So basically b4 the cross, Zim's position 8/10, Robinson's awareness 2/10…during the cross Zim's reaction 0/10. No urgency. Robinson's position after the cross (given he already compromised the position) was ideal, bc zimmerman stepping to shut down the attack would leave their mutual mark as an option without Robinson defending.
    Locally it's nerd day.
My lack of grammar is meant to make this criticism more lighthearted (also I'm crazy). GGs (not rly, only GG is wen we win heh)

  4. Everyday i Thank Netherlands for Eliminating USA 🙏 Thank You Netherlands. Bodied the USMNT with their "Soccer" 😂 and the fact that some People actually thought USA had a Chance with The Netherlands is hilarious 😂 USA Can only defeat Island Countries 😭 😭 😂 USA Stick to Handegg and the Handegg NFL

  5. Anyone who follows the "USMNT" (stupid PC name) knows very well that it very rarely defeats European teams. They can get draws sometimes but winning is very rare. It's been that way for three decades now. Friendly matches don't count, by the way.

  6. The Dutch are the most finalists who never won the World Cup, losing in the finals to Germany in 1974,Argentina in 1978,Spain in 2010 and women losing to the USA in 2019.Hope this Dutch team wins female World Cup
