Lol people keep talking about Germany with essentially no context… and making bigger deals out of any slip up than reasonable since it’s without context, putting Germany in with other “disasters”. Almost like everyone wants Germany to be gone in world football, which isn’t new. Admittedly the current team is not as talented as 2014 in any way, and the depth of talent is behind France, England and Portugal, but this is still a good team and everyone’s exaggerating how strong Spain, Portugal and Argentina are these days – great teams, but you guys have a tendency to mythologize on how good a team is. I remember in 2020 when people were saying France could send 2 teams to the Euros and have them both in the semi-finals, or that the U21 French team would be make the semi-finals. You guys don’t speak with memory and context – thus, without reason. You must learn to moderate your takes a bit. Except for those who are just taking the piss a bit.
As an Englishman, England are awful, but due to the expanded World Cup format, there is almost zero danger of not qualifying. Qualification is almost a completely pointless exercise now.
