We went back in the vault and tracked down some of the silliest red cards we could remember. Between Josh Saunders elbowing Stephen Lenhart, Eric Hassli taking of his jersey to reveal yet another jersey underneath it, Joe Nasco tackling Alan Gordon, Ramiro Corrales flipping Amado Guevara with a towel, Mike Petke’s infamous ball kiss, Matias Perez Garcia taking off his jersey when he was already on a yellow card, and Marcus Hahnemann being sent off from the bench, there were some hilarious red cards in MLS history.

  1. J'aurai mis un carton jaune à tous ceux qui viennent contredire ou parler à l'arbitre. Le règlement le stipule… Seul le capitaine a le droit de parler à l'arbitre. Faites respecter le règlement et deja cela ira mieux.

  2. 37. (I love prime numbers 😂) I need clarity on the letter of the law and the spirit/interpretación of it, regarding post scoring shirt removal or raising to expose any message etc😮…
If I am wearing 2 team shirts and I remove a layer as the player did but- his other authentic team jersey with his appropriate number is beneath it- has he really transgressed?😂
I often wonder who sat on the rules subcommittee and agreed that such expressions of exuberance upon scoring a goal, is not to be condoned or tolerated???
Scoring a goal has so many reasons for celebration…
Dedication to a newborn child, in memory of a recently departed relative or teammate or friend, a significant milestone…the actual artistry of the goal and above all- the importance of the goal to the result of the game…but no…3 claps and a simple handshake will suffice-"Top shot that ole bean." Then briskly return to your half for restart.
Of course people pay to see the ref and they are the stars of the game😂

  3. 1. These clips show isolated scenarios- the first one shows the GK getting the expulsión…the first foul/infringement was done by the attacking player as they headed the ball from the clear possession of the GK- where such an action is a foul, not unlike when Ronaldinho tried to steal the balls when a GK is in the process of tossing and kicking it – that is a foul and bookable offence as you are not to impede a GK in the act of distribution… so where is the card for the attacking player?🤔

  4. The law of booking the players after taking off their shirt after celebration is a joke , their doing it because of the passion of the game and the joy of the celebration of a goal, the heated derbies and games is a part of the game I would like if fifa or whoever make this rules put the same effort against racism and corruption

  5. More like most ridiculous dumbasses geting carded. All but 1 mabye 2 are deserved but what to expect from my fellow socer-ignorant americans. Cole hit the ball first then the man so no foul and no card, Nasco's card could have been over doing it but it's hard to see if and how much he held the opponent. Seriously this is the work of people who don't know enough about the sport to be doing anything but watching the game while keeping thier mouths shut. And most of the comments prove just how little most americans know of the sport. It's sad realy.
