Should just have it where you have a limit on foreign players but it has to start from grass roots but football in Europe and South America is number one in America it’s what 4th or 5th choice sport. England has 1000s of youth team playing Saturday Sunday every week ran by people volunteering who have a passion for the game with promotion and relegation and most kids want to be a footballer from very young.
American sports is not for entertainment, 90% is for profit, the other 10% is for entertainment if and only if u even want to be entertained.
What's embarrassing? The goal has always been to make that money to give that money to something that doubles it. It's a business not an academy

American football should really take a leaf out of the European handbook it will make the league a million times better and more entertaining, but also competitive!
The flaws in Relegation is that the clubs with the most money will always be at the top, and the rest of the bottom half battle it out to see who stays. Money talks, and big stars go to big clubs with money. Simple as that.
Franchising a league has never been a good idea when you want competitiveness because you just have those teams that will spend 2-3 years at the bottom of the league with no repercussions. Problem is you can't add a relegation system now because the owners of these teams have had to pay for a spot in the league, you would have to pay them back.

He’s completely wrong. It takes money to build the basis for youth development. It also takes passionate youth players. Having top players like Messi in the league makes kids want to try and work to be professional players as well.

I gave up on MLS ages ago. It's just another American sports league. Football ⚽ doesn't work without promotion/relegation and a playoff system for the "league winner".
