The cut of these highlights leaves out some of the most egregious ref errors — nothing of Tani getting pulled down at the edge of the box and the scuffle the ref allowed to waste all of stoppage time?!
Was it just me or was the referee very inconsistent in this game? I first noticed that the center ref was often too close to the play, either blocking players, the ball, or both. It felt like he was "out of position" that often giving him bad angles on plays Then his calls started being uneven, either calling small contact between players or not calling the apparent same type of contact a few minutes later.
Abdou is a diversity hire referee. He needs to go back to USL or maybe high school reffing

The non-calls/calls in this game were just weird. 2 Pens not offered to MNUFC. Nasty slide tackle early with a no call. This just encourages a different kind of play/player. Watch the EPL, very tightly controlled but still physical.

DSC had an excellent game, but as usual the finishing remains lackluster. Although the set up was not as good for the Loons as it's been; that also lead to poorer chances.
They are going to have to start finding the back of the net, and soon.
