Born in an Irish hospital then moved to London, absolutely NOTHING Irish about this Nigerian Brit..Never even lived in Ireland and has no family connection to the country. Ireland have always been desperate for English players, what a joke!
Good luck at Swansea top lad,
The swans fans love him,
Scored 2 against cardiff,
Good luck playing for,
Rep ireland👌👏😃😃
That's my nephew.
Have him on my bench on fantasy
So irish that his brother is english😑
He chooses Ireland ahead of Nigeria, it is well.
Beast
My guy Michael!
It reminds me of Mike Havenaar, the Japanese footballer
Just know if he was better he would be playing for England 🏴
Sounds like he doesnt consider himself that Irish but picked us because it's a better chance to play international football. Completely understandable, hope he does brilliant for us
Should have played for England
What a guy
Future Irish legend
Il est grave fort sur FIFA, acheter le !
U got it all wrong this guy went my school Emerson park in London he’s english I dunno why it says ireland😂
Let's look at Ireland's last team versus Denmark – Randolph; Doherty, Dufy (captain), Egan, Stevens; Whelan, Hendrick, Hourihane; Browne, McGoldrick, McClean. Only ones with and English accent is McGoldrick.
To all the English people commenting on this video unlike your national team Ireland has a very small select pool of players to choose from which means often means players chosen to represent Ireland are not originally born in Ireland or in Michael Obafemi’s case was born in Ireland and moved to England at a young age don’t have Irish accents! Chill out 800 years of oppression we don’t forget 🇮🇪
I wonder if he is thankful
I used to watch his brother Affy a few years ago at wingate & finchley. Micheal is lucky to have a brother like him to help support him.
Nothing Irish about him but good luck to him
Dude, you are making a mistake not playing for Nigeria.
As an Irish man with immigrant parents it makes me very happy to see the influx of these different races in the national team
Looks like hes turning 28 yrs old
Let me explain something to all the English people here
Ireland does not have a great football league which means a lot of young Irish players get scouted by English clubs. Hence why many of them have developed English accents!
Honestly he should only be eligible to play for England or Nigeria he was literally only born in Ireland no connection to it what so ever I don’t even know why he would pick Ireland over Nigeria Nigeria is way better he probably couldn’t make it in the English and Nigerian team that’s why he’s playing for Ireland
Why does he have an English accent should have played for England
What's happened to his Irish accent?
This man belongs in England Land
“Not the worst” leave the club then because you are nothing
U all claiming nationality are stupid when he does good for Ireland then u call him Irish I kinda love England they give u a chance if u good just like Antony Joshua they call him British who wants to be Irish ☘️ nobody ask Declan rice he would tell ya same
I hardly ever play this guy on my Southampton Football Manager save 😂
Why does he play for Ireland lol he mus pipo
Hope he actually chooses to play for Ireland and not go to England
🇳🇬
So much easier when come from a footballing family
Obafemi, very irish name, this is your typical Irishman.
