I think they're going to need to consider thanking their stalwarts (Maguire, Bruno, Dalot, Shaw…) and moving them along. The selection wasn't good enough today, the midfield isn't working, and the defense is now questionable. They need a back 4 akin to Nuno Mendes, Pau Cubarsi, William Saliba, and maybe Eric Garcia.

Yes, it is very disappointing performance but current Man U isn’t the same team as few seasons ago. I don’t think they are getting midfield players now because they took care of offense players from last season. Man U is so limited with how much they can spend and they are just trying what is best for now which was finding new midfielders to replace Casemiro and Ugarte. Yes, they need new full backs and at least one more striker but they are not in a situation where they can fill all those spots all at once.
