The video I wish I had been able to watch as a young player.

  1. at home and at the park with my friends i give good passes, i dribble past a lot of them, even if they are big

at training i lose it in the first touch

  2. today i did ball practice but during practice my training performance was really far from my expectation my training was really bad and after practice finished i cried and because my training was far from my performance but the coach gave me enthusiasm and motivation and friends gave me motivation I hope this video can be the driving force for me to be better and able to give the best for the team thank you coach cristo

  3. Wow man, this is one of if not the best video if watched on mentality, I have had a lack of confidence for probably the last year ever since an injury and I believe this video is what I was missing, thanks so much I can’t wait for my next match,Thx u legend 🐐🤜

  4. Idk if this is relevant, but i just want to lay it out somewhere.. I am a 14 year old boy who never loved football i played sometimes with friends but never got the enjoyment of it. I sucked and i still do but lately my love for football changed. i love it so much that people are asking me where did it come from? Honesty idk. But now i want to sign in a club but im so bad for a 14y old. I also am not good at handling shame and stuff, i can be very ashamed for myself. So my question is:
Any tips for handling embarresement and how to feel a bit more confident. Im desperate

  5. This year, I wasn’t mentally prepared for the games I played and wasn’t focusing on the right things. I myself haven’t fully played to my full potential and it’s because of me holding back myself for whatever reason…I focused too much on the physical aspect rather than the mental aspect where it counts the most.. I was never this fearful or anxious about games….And because of me only giving only barely 1/2 of what I’m capable of doing, I would always feel like the weakest link of the team. After a sucky season this year, I ended up getting my first major injury. I now am beginning to regret me not being checked in or even staying focused on something that can help my become the better version of myself. It’s been a lot to process lately but it’s making me realize how much I need to mentally stay in it and not give up. After watching this video, I think I can find a way to get me out of that mental cycle that’s brought me down. This helped a lot and it helped me see what I need to do for myself as I’m going into my senior year of high school✨💕⚽️

  6. thank u so much coach last night i played a pickup game with my new team and my performance was so bad and i kept getting into my head and it just ruined my performance

  7. Thanks, this video helps a lot as a player who struggles with nervousness even in training. I’m nervous training with my club team but in my high school team I feel good and play the best.

  8. Hey coach. Your video was actually really helpful even though I didn't understand it completely so I will have to rewatch it later but I want to ask you for advice on my situation. I am 15 years old and I 've been playing football for 10 years. However I have never played in an academy until before 9 months ago were after I finally forced my parents to agree, went to try out for a local team. (I decided to try for a team because through the years a lot of people (including my dad told me that I would be a great player). The coach told me that I wasn't good enough however, I believe I didn't get in the team because I had no experience in a real field(11v11). I took advice from a coach in Germany who told me that it would be better to take a step back so I went to a lower level team. After about one month we had a lockdown so I decided to fix everything I did wrong in the trainings we had. I started practicing almost everyday on all my weaknesses. I learned a lot of things about how I should play on the big field(positioning, roles…) and got my gameplay on a different level. However because of the lockdown I have not participated in any games to see how I will perform(Except a recent 11v11 with some random people where I played actually really good). My biggest concern is that I have a bad first touch and whenever I miss some touches or passes in a game I start playing terrible. I believe that when we come back I will be ready to play pretty good but I don't actually know if all this is worth it, since I am not 100% sure if I want to become a footballer. Not because I do not believe in myself but my parents completely disagree with this idea and I always try to balance good grades and training. I just wanted your opinion about my concerns.

  9. I’m very appreciated that I seen this my only goal is that I set my self an I tell myself is that imma make it pro an all of them people that hated how you played all of them people that never like to play with you seeing them shook an surprise that I made it but to have the right mentality an I feel like I’m ready going through all the obstacles to make thanks for clearing my mind and giving me motivation for this I can’t thank you enough. Just got to put the hard work an understand my mentality. Take care man much love ❤️

  10. I’m so glad I watched this video I really needed someone to tell me I’m not just crazy and that my mental health when playing is just as important, thank you so much
