  1. What about after X amount of weeks on the side lines re the payment of a wage the payment is reduced, and that lowers again after a long time of not being able to play. The support is still there I'm not saying that a club can wash their hands of the player.
If said player is unable to play, then comes back they must then train to a point so that they can re-join the team in a game day situation, that is when they go back to a full wage.

  2. FOOTBALL is Dying a Slow Death , Juniors turn to Soccer on mass . ALL this Concusion BS . Get them ALL to sign a form . BOXING you get knocked out that is the AIM , accidental injuries are just that. GET A WAIVER NOW

  3. 💯 the putrid AFL board will get rid of the speccy and you gutter journalists don't help one bit. Only Richo made sense here.
Time for changes in contracts playing a dangerous sport, you don't sign that contract, you don't play the highest league in the sport

  4. Richo knows the sacrifice to play AFL, never cried so much as a kid when he was injured on the boundary line with his knee. They increased the boundary width after that incident for all ovals. I won't be watching if they make it illegal to take a speccy, i'd throw in my membership as well.

  5. Does chubby cheeks understand that a waiver would be over ruled by the workers compensation system? It is irrelevant whether someone accepts risk. Employees have compensation rights. The answer is that the AFL establish a fund to cover compensation payments. Compensation is not dependent on acceptance of risks.

  6. I've been saying this for years. How can the league be run by lawyers yet they haven't suggested this player waiver approach? This is an absolute no-brainer, pardon the pun. The league is right to do everything within reason to minimise the risk of concussion (eg. changing tackle rules with respect to protecting the head).

  7. Crazy, does a boxer sue the organisation if he suffers concussion.. bloody madness, what's wrong with people.. nxt, u will hear of someone suing Kleenex or sorbent. They broke there hand while whipping there backside after doing number 2s.

  8. N.daicos brownlow medal celebrate at the main course west melbourne 😂m.a.g.a ❤2026😂😂😂❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  9. Twilight grand final promote the game afl get xtra millions spice Girls half time 😂m.a.g.a 😂2028❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  10. I only ever hear about this being a problem at the AFL level, but the reality is, its a problem at every level. From school kids, to country, amatuer and state leagues.
I got knocked out through play, had my head stomped, punched and kneed through out the years – am i also eligible for compensation?
I know the risks, i accept them.

I love the hard tough physical game we played in the 80s and 90s. If the AFL keep introducing rules to remove the physical aspect, i will stop following the game. I know many others that share that thought.

  11. I feel like it will get taken out. The game already is worse to watch than it was 20 years ago. The style of footy is so sanitized weekly I see players get out of the way of each other

  12. Imagine going to supercars australia, and being like yeah i want to race but those concrete walls are scary and the car goes to fast…can we limit the cars and make the walls rubber and also, no touching other cars. Thanks.
Thats what the AFL does every year. The game isnt for everyone to play, if head knocks have you staying up all night scared, its not for you

  13. Visually speaking, it's probably the most marketable, impressive act in the game. This talk about growing game through sanitising it is actually suffocating it.
