Hansi Flick has wanted Rashford for months. Even when Deco has yearned for Diaz, Flick has wanted Rashford. That should tell you everything you need to know. Raphinha moves centrally anyway and Olmo struggles to stay healthy. Rashford allows them to maintain width and provides depth at both Winger and Striker. Flick has elevated the play of numerous Barca players and numerous Bayern players, including Gnabry. If he can get the most out of Rashford then 35m will be a substantial bargain.

At 14M gross 260k per wk barring he doesn't completely suck combined with LW being the most asked for signing by Flick and Barca needing to push an exit. Would be odd for the squad depth approach that's a lot of work for a squad player. We could've left Raphinha on the left with Jan Virgili as rotation for free. Hansi's system creates chances from crosses having a natural L&R winger at a basic level is important for his system. Raphinha is a target player in this system. Being in the interior will be much better for him similar like Mueller in Flick's Bayern. With two wingers stretching the width creates more space in the middle for him to be the target and make those line breaking runs he loves.
Rashford can easily transition into the squad the same as Ferran (The Shark 🦈) who was clutch when Barca needed help or sub situations both wings and the nine. He's a scheme and tactical nightmare depending on what position and press to be a momentum swinger.
