  1. Yes — this image shows a situation that could be considered a handball, depending on the referee’s interpretation and the context.

In football (soccer), the Laws of the Game (IFAB) say a handball occurs when a player:

Deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball.

Touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger (e.g., arms extended in a way that gives an unfair advantage).

    From this frame:

The ball clearly strikes the arm of the player in the dark (purple) kit.

The arm seems away from the body, which could be judged as making the body bigger.

    However, referees also consider:

Was it a natural position while playing/moving?

Was it a deflection at close range where the player couldn’t react?

👉 So yes, this could very well be whistled as a handball, but it’s ultimately the referee’s decision depending on intent, arm position, and the match situation.

Do you want me to break it down with VAR perspective (what they would check step by step)?

  2. Technically based on rule 12 on fifa that’s a hand, since the ball touches the player's sleeve below the height of the armpit

Rule 12: it is hand if the ball hits below the height of the armpit

No hand if the ball hits above the height of the armpit or above the shoulder 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤣

  3. Should’ve been disallowed, clearly hit his forearm. Miami luckily have the greatest in the history of sport to win em the game as per, but still…

  4. Liga MX shouldn't play in this bought-out, mediocre, even more mediocre league than Liga MX. 🤡America MX is like Inter Miami without its referees and penalties. They don't win. Facts: Everything is a given, as always. 🤡🤣🤣🤫

  5. This game is so terrible for both teams, the refs can’t call a good game for their lives, and Miami have been getting all the calls for them while Orlando isn’t getting ANY🙄

  6. If this goal was given the referees got it wrong. The ball seems to hit off the hand or arm of the attacker that scores immediately after, per the laws of the game this is a hand ball and shouldn’t be allowed a goal.
