  1. really strange what's happening with MU so far this season. they play ok and lose, then they play awful like they did Tuesday vs Copenhagen and somehow eek out a win. and while i generally like Ten Hag and want him to succeed, one thing i don't get is how shockingly disorganized they are right now at the back, after him being in charge for over a year. defense is one segment of football where a coach really shows their qualification, because it need especially good coordination. you can improvise in midfield or attack, but if you don't have a clear plan and picture of who does what in defense, you're doomed. i understand ETG used to coach Ajax, the team that is almost always guaranteed at least a top three spot in their league, and that league actually doesn't put that much emphasis on defending–Eredivisie is actually probably the highest scoring among top leagues in Europe and the world, which is entertaining but also shows lack of defensive prowess. but still, you are a top coach, you work in England now, you were a resolute success in your first season–and you can't figure out your team's defensive layout?
