I remember a Tyler Adams interview not too long ago where he said it's impossible to play against Bruno because he's never where he should be in the midfield. Cunha's goal is a perfect example of that: Bruno is, for some reason, randomly on the left wing. Bogarde doesn't know whether he should jump and press or wait for the magnifico to pass it, as he does. That indecision lets Bruno slot a lovely ball through for Cunha. Bruno is just a different class of player, man.
Michael Carrick has done everything he could to illustrate that he deserves this job, full stop. Man United do not need technicians who force them into convoluted systems, it needs men who get the best out of these players, relentless counter attacking, and a steady hand who makes these players keep fighting. Top 4 looks inevitable, and right now the club's signings look invigorated.
