  1. For me top 4 is only able to be done if Spurs have a larger stronger and larger squad, the chairman needs to step up here and support his manager by giving him some dosh to buy at least a couple of 1st class players…….COYS!!

  2. Remember when Spurs were top of the league after 10 games a couple years ago? I fear without some quality reinforcements, they will run out of steam.

  3. I'm sorry mr american. Bu why don't you think a Spurs side should beat City? Have we not done it 6 times in the past 5 years. Please Americans. Stay away from commentary.

  4. Manchester City got old. The players pep needs, particularly at the back can not be around 30 and losing a step in order for things to work. That’s not even counting the fact they haven’t replaced KDB

  5. I think that Pep Guadiola broke his own code and he's struggling with it. When he decided to end his reign at FC Barca as Manager when the club wanted him to continue, one of his reasons was that he didn't want to stay beyond 4 years at one club. At Man City he's broken that code. And, the reason why is struggling now, I think, is because he doesn't know how to rebuild teams.

  6. In building one starts with the foundations. The Romero situation being sorted out to Spur’s advantage is a huge plus. Keeping Van der Ven is also equally important. As a long time Spurs supporter I’m looking forward to this season.

  7. I'm cautiously optimistic, but we've been through this a time or four in the past. I love what I'm seeing and Richie's work-rate has been something of a message to the team. A couple years before coming to Spurs, Everton were nearing relegation — if it were not for Pickford and Richarlison, Everton would have gone down. Do not under estimate Richie's heart!

  8. Didn't watch the game, but just saw the highlights! As a city fan, I like what I saw, though be it a bad result. City weren't at thier best, but both goals were fortuitious, John Stone's slip and an inexperienced goal keeper's bad decision. Otherwise, City played decent. It's early days and the team is a very young one. It will get super better.

  9. The PL settles by 10 first matches for all clubs. Then by last 10 matches places for top 4 and bottom 3 relegation places are fought over. Its just one match. Spurs beats Man C then lose to Leeds or Sunderland. Not able to see how Spurs get to top 4. Unless Arsenal and Chelsea lose to Spurs in 4 derby games.

  10. Nigel Reo-Coker is a great analyst. Haven’t seen him on tv before. Would have loved to see him in a spurs shirt back in his prime. Underrated player.

  11. This is just two games, guys. Every time the Spurs defeat a big side in the past, the Spurs never kick on, so just keep focus game by game. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are the title favorites to win EPL Tottenham doesn't need that pressure at this point in time

  12. Bro on the right , went thru ,
analysing, cheering, troubleshooting , scouting, and predicting in under 10 min.πŸ˜‚
    CBS got it all πŸ˜‚

  13. Great win for Spurs and they should be really pleased with that. Burnley is one thing but dominating at the Etihad is another thing entirely. But way too early to say anything else about them.

City better hope that was just an off day but sounds like they were pretty awful and another middling season may beckon for them.

I was slightly confused how some pundits had that squad for top spot in the league to be honest.

  14. Due to the timing of Afcon it will be not a smart move if Spurs go for Lookman. if we sign more African players, even tho I would love to have him, currently 3 players we will lose when Afcon starts. I wish they could do Afcon in summer, but due to extreme heat, you will need full air-conditioning stadiums. This would give more value to African players.

  15. Spurs beating City is pretty much expected these days. However, watch them do something spursy in their coming games πŸ˜…. The meme highlights from the game are on my page πŸ˜‚
