Clear examples of lack of common sense regarding when to use VAR! VAR should have been used to review the play on the Ederson NOT foul. When a goal or obvious goal scoring opportunity is in dispute, VAR should be used regardless of when/if the ref blows the whistle. Can someone explain to me why, after VAR was used to review the Rodri situation, he was not given a yellow card? This makes me question the ethics of the officials and whether or not there is corruption.

It's not even about having to be written in the rulebook, it's an unwritten rule that they teach refs at any level. Even without VAR, you let the play continue and consult with your linesman before ruling it a goal or calling it back. Absolute shocker by the ref and poor from Micah to try to argue for it since it's "not written anywhere in the rulebook."
