I love alvarez though…
He’s good but not 80M good. Even Haaland was cheaper. About 50-60M would have been about right. He’s not a prolific scorer, but he can and does get involved in attack a good bit. It’ll depend on Simeone’s tactics, but Atlético are known in general for bottling important games, so he probably won’t win any silverware for a while. But great pay in the millions and great weather in Spain is hard to resist.
