Outplayed and defeated by a 5th place Serie A team led by the last sacked manager before the season even starts is as humiliating as it gets.
Imagine the likes of Luke Shaw, Maguire, Dalot, Mazraoui etc playing first team football at PSG, Bayern or Madrid. You can't and they won't. That's why this team just can't compete and they're gonna have a hard time in the UCL.
Season after season of underwhelming transfer window performances, it's like they only sign leftovers by other big clubs.
The immense expectations and the profound failure to meet them is just ridiculous. Failure to sign key impactful players season after season, focusing on all the wrong things instead of building a team that could really compete at Europe's highest level. When is this club going to realise they can't always ride on brief runs of luck?
