  1. Madrid or Barca don't want to pay for players. The clubs have so much prestige, and the majority of football players today would kill to play for one of those teams. Trent leaving on a free gives Madrid a huge incentive to sign him. Trent and Madrid are getting an even deal, and for Liverpool, he's playing out his contract. He helped you win, and he didn't leave early. That should be more than enough. He shouldn't be a prisoner there. He wants a new challenge, and he would play for one of the best teams in the world.

  2. It looked to me that the owner was headed to the player and the physio, when Nuno intercepted him. In the post game interview, the manager was pure class: t-shirt wearing owner, not so much.

  3. CL Qualification is not in Villa's hands. They can win the last 2 and still not qualify because Chelsea, Newcastle, City and Arsenal can all still get 69 points but Villa's GD is really bad. If Villa win 7-0 twice then it might be in their hands and Man Utd and Spurs are the weakest non relegated teams in the EPL so it's possible.

  4. Look, it is healthy to let your anger out instead of repressing, if you feel wronged. Anger is natural emotion and the only way for Liverpool fans to express that anger is to boo! For instance if I am in a relationship that is not healthy (Trent and fans) anger can be a way to end the relationship if we (fans) are not treated well. The fans probably feel they are not treated well by Trent. In some cases anger can fix relationship but not with Trent it seems. If you hold anger in you can become sad.

  5. It shows how out of touch the establishment media is. Can the media telling stop telling Liverpool fans how to think? It is not that complicated to know why Liverpool fans are upset with TAA. Liverpool fans are not upset with TAA leaving as the media kept trying to suggest. Liverpool fans are upset at the underhanded way TAA has behaved in engineering free transfer.

The club have been negotiating with him for 3 years and he misled the club and the fans of his true intentions not to sign a contract stalling Liverpool in making a decision to sell him for cash at the direction of Real Madrid. This scouser, who professes to love the club and owes the club everything, was so easily bought by Real Madrid and complicit in Real Madrid cheating Liverpool out of a transfer fee to enrich himself. That is why Liverpool fans are booing him. And this has consequences for Liverpool financially after he left because Liverpool have to meet PSR and now we have had 100 million asset leave the club for free and we have replace that asset with money we don’t have. Why should we treat him with respect, since he showed the club no respect by engineering a free transfer. There is a right and a wrong way to leave. Look at Kane as an example, where his contract was running out, and he told the club early he had no intention of signing a contract, so they could sell him early and get money to replace him, that is why Spurs fans have no ill feelings about Kane and it would have been the same for TAA if he had been honest. But he was so quick to betray the club and enrich himself at the direction of Real Madrid because they have done this with Alaba, Rudiger, Mbappe and now TAA.

Also can the media stop selling the narrative he is going to Real Madrid for ‘ new experiences’. We all know he is joining Real Madrid for the money. He will triple his salary and get a signing bonus of a minimum of 50 million, since Rudiger got a 35 million signing bonus for running down his contract with Chelsea. The money isn’t alway greener on the other side.

  6. How many times did you see a player signing jersey of the club they are not playing for? It’s on record that Trent was signing RM shirt summer of 2024. Talking about class, how classy Is that?

  7. 20Y narrative is crazy! Academy was investing on him from age of 6 to 18. Trent only started to repay Liverpool from age 19. Not for free, with huge wage and bonuses

  8. Stop blaming the club.
The reason Liverpool wasn’t able to get TAA to sign a extension and get some money back is because Real Madrid told him to run down his contract so they pay no transfer fee.Just like what they did with Mbappe. This isn’t rocket science.
    The club had no power.

  9. Nico Williams from Athletic, Zubimendi from Sociedad both renewed their contracts when they could've left for free so their boy hood clubs can get transfer money. Yoro chose ManU over RM so his boyhood club could get more money

Ppl like to assume all players only care ab themselves and see their career as a job when there are many examples of players giving up generational wealth as gratitude to the institution that developed them

going out on a free from ur boyhood club… yikes

  10. I agree with Nico "why the club did not give him an extension or something"? Like for Mbappe, the management messes up and then they demand money although the players complied with all the clauses of their contracts. I hear that Liverpool wants money. In the case of Mbappe, I think there was some bullying going on and his brother's contract was in play. Mbappe even said to his brother if you want I stay at PSG another year but his brother said no, they are ill treating us. Basically, there were stories that PSG was spreading lies online on several players including Mbappe. When you find this out, you want to go. As for the supporters, they go too far. They feel like they own the players, the clubs, etc. You don't have to boo, insult families, wish death upon them, etc. Players have not stolen anything.
