  1. Liverpool is going to be fine, their signings weren't bad. There's not a single football fan who wouldn't take Isak, Wirtz, Ekitke on their team. Did it work this season? Hell no. Would they have been better with Guehi swapped in for any of those three? Absolutely. But they'll be fine next season with some tweaks, they signed extremely talented players and had to deal with a not great coach, the death of a teammate, the post-win slump, Salah drama, etc. They'll be fine and people making fun of these signings will be very quiet the next couple seasons I expect

  2. I think they hype of "Prem league big spenders" got into Liverpool heads! Going from a club that didn't spend or believed in spending a lot to ending up spending over 500M! Double breaking the English record! It seemed like a move a team that is desperately trying to defend their championship instead of building around the previous team that won that league! Players like wirtz & isak made no sense especially knowing youstill have Szoboslai & Salah available still. Might have lost Diaz/Nunez but eketike and frimpong should've been enuff to rebuild and see it through..greediness got th better of Liverpool and opted to build a new team while still keeping 80% of the existing squad made no sense..now Liverpool will be forced to go back to the window in th summer again and continue to derail the buildup with more new faces to settle in while the current new faces haven't yet settled in! Is like Chelsea! If you keep buying every window they'll never be a building structure

  3. the yan kers SHIOULD have sacked this poor dutch coach a LOOOOONG time ago, having won LESS than half the games in the last 12 months,,, but the frauds edwards & hughes are his backers so the sharks wont sack them all , es[ecially as its likely we qualify for the champions league MONEY again! but for true REDS S L O T = L O ST ..turning BELIEVERS in DOUBTERS! Every positive aspect of Juergens Man-management is an exposure of what is lacking in the current Lfc coach! S L O T = L O S T 29 games in the last year! ..because he was the cheapest choice,,, to take charge of a billion dollar squad that Klopp built into mentality monsters.

pretty much DISGUSTING that none of the Liverpool players (inc scouser Carra) doesnt meantion "the game played on the EVE of the 37th anniversary of HILLSBOROUGH when the english murdered 97 of my REd brothers & sisters" and S L O T = L O S T .. www. clubliverpool .livejournal .com

  4. Carra sat on the overlap at the start of the season with a smile like a chesire cat saying he would have paid 150 for wirtz not a problem how times change eh

  5. What goes under the radar is that they lost Jota, Diaz, Nunez, Kelleher, Arnold amongst others and with Robertson being replaced by Kerkez they no longer had the two big goal assist merchants in Arnold and Roberson that had served them well for years, add to that the decline of Allison, Salah and Van Dijk plus injury to Isak and you have enough problems to sink a ship, let alone new players have to adapt to the club, its a perfect storm which Slot has had to deal with, all this just gets forgotten.

  6. Anyone who knows and watches Wirtz knows that Slot simply doesn't know how to use him, and it's not his fault if he doesn't have players to play with. There was one, and it was Hugo, who was at Wirtz's level mentally. Everyone else is miles away, just not at their levelβ€”it's just a fact. If you buy a Wirtz for 100 million, then you also have to know how and where to use him best. The game is made for Wirtz, but Slot, strangely enough, doesn't seem to understand that. Alonso and Nagelsmann know how to use him, which is why he was a monster. Slot has to leave the club as quickly as possible.

  7. Great players suddenly don’t become bad, systems, tactics and positioning all play their part and sorry to say Slot has got it wrong so far. Last season Premier league win appears like a carry over of Klopps influence on the players.

  9. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Fans weren't saying the transfers were bad last summer – quite the opposite. Liverpool fans were saying the quadruple was on πŸ™„

  10. I like how Wirtz wasnt even the most expensive transfer, but everyone keeps badmouthing him, although hes isnt even doing that bad. Isak gets literally zero hate and he was even more expensive

  11. Fella sat next to me at the game last night said can you believe Wirtz has only got 6 goals for us. I told him i cant believe he's got that many given that he refuses to have any shots.

    Waste of money.

  12. Playing PSG makes me realise even more what a terribly unbalanced side we have. It's an absolute shambles at the moment, we lack pace, creativity in midfield and we now lack goals. The board have to take a look at themselves because the balance of the side is all wrong. Wirtz just doesn't look good at all but the system is letting him down. So unless Slot changes how he wants to play, how is another Season going to fix the square pegs in round holes situation.

  13. The media are reacting just like they did with utd whom reacted horribly. So no thanks we'll do it the LFC way so we don't become another Utd or pre Klopp. These owners are right so far so trust them. Personally I see next year as a stepping stone after the end of the Klopp era players gone due to age etc. Could gave been done smoother byt slot has only had a year, players should have been renewed earlier imo.

  14. The Anfield atmosphere
2020 Athletico knock them out at Anfield
2021 Real knock them out at Anfield
2023 Real beat them 5-2 at Anfield
2024 Atalanta beat them 3-0 at Anfield
2025 PSG knock them out at Anfield
2026 PSG knock thrm out at Anfield

    Anfield atmosphere πŸ˜„

  15. Wirtz isn’t the problem, anyone with half a brain can see how class he is. Classic case of using the big money signing as a scapegoat.

  16. Wirtz has 16 GA this season in a team thats not been functioning- also note… He's not a forward, he plays as either a midfielder or a winger… Jamie Carragher is clueless.

  17. You spend 100m on a player he needs to be the difference maker. Wirtz is not doing that currently. The most frustrating thing is he clearly has the talent to absolutely run games. Need more from him. Not just him, the whole team. Maybe a different manager could get more from him. Klopp would turn him into a monster no doubt.

  18. Slot gained everything due to Klopp laying it infront of him and now that he does it his way, the wheels fall off. The players are not the problem, it's the manager.
Carragher is critizicing Wirtz, while he peformed way better for Leverkusen and is performing way better in the german national Team. The truth is, he gets dragged down with the rest of Liverpool, where not a single player is playing at theire full potential. And that is a clear sign of a managing problem. Slot needs to go.
