Match wouldโve been 3 , 4 nil if not for Thibaut.
-Thought Szobszlai, Wirtz, and MacAllister all were really really good for LFC. You can see LFC is growing in confidence as rhythm increases .
-Salah mostly stifled by an excellent Alvaro C. who continues to get better & better imo – still only 22 y/o.
-Vini Jr. struggled vs a young C Bradley ( also only 22 y/o) who imo was unreal & MOTM contender. Mbappe also quiet.
*Just my opinion here but Gravenberch > Jude overall as a player. Am I crazy? Maybe I am.

Players leave teams all the time…via trades or wanting a change/advancement in their career…but unless they openly insult the fans or the club, never fail to show some appreciation when they come back…for the joy and success they brought to the fans…and the luck of having had them over all those years. You woould think losing Diego Jota in that tragic fashion would teach that lesson. Trent was at the LFC Academy from 2004 and became a youth captain…and played on the pro-team from 2016-2025…9 freaking years of great performances…259 appearances…and as a midfielder scoring 18 goals and contributing 64 assists…and helping win the Premier League trophy after 30 years without one…plus a Champions League title…and you greet him with long boos on his first time back with another team. Perhaps we can say it's part of the game…but how ungrateful!

Lots of comments on Courtois but not a lot of recognizing that Madrid got dominated which is why Liverpool was getting all those chances.
They were getting picked off forward, midfield, and the back line was stopping no attacks.
Prime Mbappe had only 1 moment in the whole match and people expected Leo Messi to single handedly destroy Liverpool at Anfield ๐
